Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces tequila
  • 2 ounces orange liqueur
  • 10 large strawberries hulled and halved
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 3 tablespoons simple sugar syrup
  • 4 jalapeño slices
  • sea salt for rim
  • strawberry slices and lime wedges to garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add the tequila, orange liqueur, fresh strawberries, lime juice and simple sugar syrup into a blender and blend.
  2. Use the lime to wet the rim of the glasses and dip into some sea salt to coat the rim.
  3. Add in some ice and top with the Jalapeno strawberry margarita, mixture and garnish with jalapeno slices, strawberries and lime slices.

Notes

  • Use the best ever Sea Salt Flakes for the perfect rim.
  • You can use a sugar rim instead of a salt rim if you prefer.
  • Remove the seeds from the jalapeño before adding to the cocktail.
  • The Jalapeño Margarita recipe is best served cold. If you don’t have enough time to chill it properly, then try freezing it for 5-10 minutes before serving.
  • Chill your garnishes so that the drink stays cold when you add them in.
  • For the orange liqueur, you can use Cointreau or Triple Sec.
  • Feel free to use honey instead of sugar syrup.
  • Add in a pinch of black pepper or chili flakes.
  • Grab hold of a handy citrus juicer, which will help you whip up your cocktail much more easily.
