Strawberry Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries halved, stems removed
  • 2 cups sugar divided
  • 6 cups water divided
  • 1 cup lemon juice about 6 lemons, extra to garnish

Instructions

  1. In a blender place the strawberries, ¼ cup sugar and ¼ cup water. Blend the mixture until smooth.
  2. Pour the strawberry mixture into a large pitcher. Add the remaining sugar, lemon juice, and remaining water. Stir to mix.
  3. Add sliced lemons to the pitcher if desired. Serve immediately over ice cubes or chill until ready to serve. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Frozen strawberries can also be used in this recipe. It can sometimes cause the lemonade to be a bit more like a slushie. If you are using frozen strawberries and prefer it not to have any slushy pieces in your lemonade, simply let the strawberries thaw on the counter for about 20 minutes before blending.
