Strawberry Milk
Strawberry Milk is a refreshing beverage made by blending sliced strawberries with sugar to create a smooth puree that is gently heated. After cooling, the sweetened strawberry base is combined with almond or regular milk, resulting in a chilled, lightly fruity drink. The process enhances the natural sweetness of the berries and infuses the milk with a subtle strawberry flavor, making it a pleasant option for a nutritious snack or a simple treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup strawberries sliced
- 3 tablespoons sugar or honey
- 2 cups almond milk or regular milk, unsweetened
Instructions
- Place the strawberries and sugar in a small food processor and process until broken down and smooth.
- Pour into a small saucepan and heat on medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture just starts to boil.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and pour into a bowl. Refrigerate until cold, about 30 minutes.
- Divide between two cups and then divide the milk over top. Stir well and enjoy!
