Instructions
- In a food process (or blender), process ONE bag of the freeze dried strawberries until fine crumbs. Set aside.
- Line a 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper. Set it aside.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, add butter. Once melted, add in all but 1 cup of the mini marshmallows. Reduce heat to low and stir constantly until melted.
- Remove from heat and add in the processed freeze dried strawberry crumbs and vanilla extract. Stir until combined,
- Add the cereal and remaining 1 cup of marshmallows and the second bag of freeze dried strawberries. Fold everything gently until all the cereal has been coated. Pour into prepared pan.
- Allow to set about one hour before cutting.
Notes
- Make sure your marshmallows and cereal are fresh. If you're starting with stale ingredients, your treats will taste stale.
- DO NOT PRESS these treats into the pan. The more your press down, the harder they get. I will wet my fingers with water and press GENTLY until the tops are even.
- Store in airtight container for three days. These do not freeze well.
- Freeze dried strawberries can be substituted for other freeze dried berries. Do not use fresh or frozen berries.
