Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries hulled and quartered
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine the strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir the mixture occasionally, allowing the strawberries to release their natural juices and the sugar to dissolve.
  3. Simmer the sauce for about 15 minutes, or until it thickens to your desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
