Strawberry Spinach Salad

This beautiful strawberry spinach salad has the perfect balance of sweet and savory! Easily made with juicy strawberries, fresh spinach leaves, crunchy almonds, salty feta cheese, creamy avocado, and red onions all tossed with a zesty balsamic vinaigrette!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces baby spinach
  • 2 cups strawberries sliced
  • ½ cup red onion thinly sliced
  • ½ cup sliced almonds
  • ¾ cup feta cheese crumbles
  • 1 avocado sliced or diced
  • Balsamic vinaigrette for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, add the baby spinach and strawberries and toss to combine.
  2. Add the sliced red onion, almonds, sliced avocado and feta cheese.
  3. Serve with this easy homemade balsamic vinaigrette or your favorite store-bought balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

Notes

  • Swap the almonds for chopped walnuts or pecans or candied nuts.
  • Use a poppyseed dressing or raspberry vinaigrette instead of balsamic vinaigrette.
  • Use goat cheese, gorgonzola or shaved parmesan cheese instead of feta cheese.
  • Use sliced green onions or sweet onions instead of red onions.
  • Add cooked, diced chicken if desired.
