Sugar Free Orange Jello Salad
Sugar Free Orange Jello Salad blends whipped heavy cream with orange-flavored gelatin, cottage cheese, mandarin oranges, pineapple tidbits, and chopped pecans for a creamy, fruity dessert without added sugar. Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 orange flavored gelatin 7 ounces, sugar free
- 1 cottage cheese 16 ounces, small curd
- 1 mandarin oranges 11 ounces, drained
- 1 pineapple tidbits 8 ounces, drained
- 1/3 cup pecans chopped
Instructions
- Place large glass or stainless steel bowl and beaters in the refrigerator or freezer for 15 minutes.
- Add the whipping cream to the mixing bowl and begin beating on low speed.
- Slowly incorporate the orange gelatin when the whipping cream begins to thicken. Increase speed when it is safe to do so (without the splatter). Mix in all the gelatin.
- Fold in cottage cheese, drained mandarin oranges and pineapple. Add nuts.
Notes
- If the fruit is wet, pat it dry with paper towels before folding it into the whipped cream mixture to avoid excess moisture.
