Suji Ka Halwa
Suji Ka Halwa is a traditional Indian sweet made by roasting semolina in butter and cooking it with sugar, water, and fragrant cardamom, then garnishing with raisins and nuts. This warm dessert has a smooth, soft consistency with rich buttery flavor and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 150 g butter
- 200 g semolina Suji
- 4 green cardamom
- 200 g sugar
- 1 litre water

- almonds
Instructions
- Add the butter into a pan and allow to melt completely on low heat
- Split the cardamom pods in half and add into the pan then sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant
- Add the semolina and cook for 8-10 minutes on medium heat, stirring constantly to ensure that it doesn’t burn
- Add the sugar and cook for 2-3 minutes
- Add the water then cook for 8-10 minutes until thickened to your personal preference
- Serve warm and enjoy!
