Summer Camping Sangria

This summer camping sangria is a white wine cocktail with summer fruit, brandy, and juice. It's easy prep for a few or a group!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed summer fruit, such as berries, amount variable Dice or halve fruit as desired (Halve grapes; Dice kiwi; Leave berries whole).
  • 2 ounces brandy Or substitute a fruity liqueur, such as Grand Marnier
  • 1 cup fruit juice Such as white grape or pear
  • 750 milliliters bottle white wine Such as pinot grigio

  1. These steps can be done at home the day before camping, or at the campground with a cooler and ice available.Divide fruit between the 4 jars.
  2. Add ¼ cup fruit juice and ½ ounce brandy to each jar.
  3. Add approximately 6 ounces of wine to each jar.
  4. If preparing at camp, place the jars in an icy cooler for at least 4 hours.If you prepared ahead of time, store jars in fridge and then move jars to a cooler packed with ice.  (Mason jars shouldn’t leak easily if tipped, but try to keep them upright.)Serve one jar of sangria per person.

Notes

  • You could also use larger jars and pour the sangria into glasses to serve.
  • This recipe is easily halved (for a smaller group) or doubled (for a larger group).
