Superfood Green Smoothie Bowl
A fresh, unique smoothie ball recipe loaded with nutrients for a healthful breakfast!
Ingredients
- ½ avocado peeled and diced, ripe
- ½ banana frozen, ripe
- 2/3 cup milk I like a combination of canned coconut milk and unsweetened almond milk, of choice
- 1 teaspoons maple syrup optional, pure
- 1 protein powder Rootz Protein Superfood Chocolate Banana Nut Powder
- 1 teaspoon raw cacao powder
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract optional, pure
- cinnamon optional, dash
- 3 to 5 ice cubes
For Topping:
- blueberries fresh
- almond butter
- chia seeds
- coconut unsweetened, shredded
- cacao nibs
- pumpkin seeds
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients for the smoothie to a high powered blender and blend until completely smooth. Taste smoothie for flavor and add more pure maple syrup and/or cinnamon if desired. If necessary, add a small amount of additional milk to help blend the ingredients.
- Pour smoothie into a large bowl and top with fresh blueberries, almond butter, chia seeds, shredded coconut, cacao nibs, and pumpkin seeds.
Notes
- *You can replace the milk with yogurt for a probiotic infusion.
