Sweet and Sour Sauce Recipe

This Sweet and Sour Sauce combines pineapple juice, light brown sugar, rice vinegar, ketchup, and soy sauce to create a vibrant balance of tangy and sweet flavors. Cornstarch mixed with water is used to thicken the sauce to a glossy consistency. The optional red food coloring adds a traditional bright hue. The sauce is cooked and cooled before serving and pairs well with Asian-style dishes.
