Swiss Bircher Muesli Recipe
Bircher Muesli is the original Swiss overnight oats with rolled oatmeal, fruits, and nuts. It was developed by a Swiss nutritionist over 100 years ago, and today it's one of the most popular breakfast foods in Central Europe.

Ingredients
- 1 cup oats rolled oats
- ⅔ cup milk
- 4-6 Tablespoons honey
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice or Lime Juice
- ½ large apple grated
- ½ Teaspoon cinnamon ground
- ⅓ cup yogurt
- a few raisins optional
- a few almonds
- Fresh fruits *see Notes
Instructions
- The night before, place the oats and milk together in a container. Mix the content and place into the fridge.
- The next morning, add the honey, lemon juice, grated apple, cinnamon powder, yogurt, raisins, and almonds. Mix the whole content well.
- Cut your fruit into pieces, if it's not a small berry, and arrange on top of your Bircher muesli.
- Best enjoyed cooled.

Notes
- Pick a fruit you like to add to your Bircher muesli I added strawberries to mine, but you can also add banana, blueberries, pears, peach whatever you like. Add as much as you like.
