Tahini Chocolate Chip Protein Balls
Tahini Chocolate Chip Protein Balls are no-bake snacks combining rolled oats, tahini, honey, vanilla protein powder, and mini chocolate chips. The mixture is kneaded by hand for better cohesion before forming into small balls. These protein balls offer a slightly sweet, nutty flavor with soft and chewy texture, making them convenient for on-the-go energy boosts or post-workout snacks.
Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats old fashioned
- 1 cup tahini
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 coops protein powder 50-60 grams, vanilla
- 2 Tablespoons mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Place oats, tahini, honey, protein powder and chocolate chips in a large bowl and stir to combine.
- Getting the mixture to combine takes a little arm muscle and it may seem too thick at first, but it will come together as you keep mixing. I used my hands to knead the dough near the end and that seems to help.
- Once combined, use a small cookie scoop to scoop and form the dough into balls.
- Store in a covered container in the fridge or freezer.
Notes
- Maple syrup can substitute honey if preferred.
- Other nut or seed butters may be used instead of tahini, though texture may vary.
- Chocolate chips can be swapped for dried fruit, shredded coconut, nuts, cacao nibs, or seeds for variation.
- Vanilla protein powder is recommended to complement tahini and chocolate flavors but other flavors or brands may be used according to taste.
