Tahini Sauce

Homemade Tahini Sauce is creamy and full of flavor! Use as a dip, dressing or sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ cup Tahini
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ lemon juiced, about 2 tablespoons juice
  • cold water as needed 2 to 4 tablespoons
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro or parsley, optional

Instructions

  1. Place garlic on a cutting board with salt. Using a fork, mash to a fine paste.
  2. Add garlic paste, tahini, olive oil and lemon juice to a bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Add water as needed to reach desired consistency.
  4. Stir in a cilantro or parsley if using.

Notes

  • If you notice your tahini is not smooth or it's grainy in texture, you need to add more water a bit at a time to smooth it out.
  • To make dressing add more water to reach desired consistency.
  • Homemade tahini will last about 2-3 days in the refrigerator in an airtight bottle or container.
