Ingredients

  • 16 oz ground breakfast sausage - I used pork
  • 12 eggs
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 20 oz frozen tater tots

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Preheat oven to 350F and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add the ground sausage to the warm frying pan, brown and break into crumbles. Remove from heat once cooked through.
  3. In a mix bowl whisk eggs, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper together.
  4. Pour the cooked sausage into the baking dish and then the egg mixture. Mix the two together and then top with a layer of shredded cheese.
  5. Arrange the tater tots in an even layer on top of the other ingredients.
  6. Bake at 350F for 70-75 minutes - be sure that the eggs in the middle of the casserole are fully set. Remove from the oven and cool slightly before cutting into slices.
