Thai Glazed Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds wings patted dry with a paper towel
  • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Thai Glaze:
  • 3/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Juice of half a lime

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and lightly spray with cooking spray. In a ziplock bag add the wings. Add the baking powder, salt, and pepper and shake to coat evenly. Place them on your prepared baking sheet.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until crispy and no longer pink. Remove from the oven.
To Make the Thai Glaze:

  1. Right before the wings are done, in a medium-sized saucepan add the sweet chili sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, garlic, sesame oil, and lime juice. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and brush half of the sauce on top of the wings. Broil in the oven for 2-3 more minutes until the sauce caramelizes. Brush remaining sauce on top and serve.
