Ingredients
- 1 Pizza Crust Dough your favorite store bought or homemade pizza dough
Peanut Sauce
- ½ cup peanut butter
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp ginger grated
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 1 tbsp brown sugar use less if your peanut butter is already sweetened!
- pinch crushed red pepper flakes optional
- water as need to thin sauce
For Toppings
- cooking spray
- 2 bell peppers thinly sliced, any color
- ½ yellow onion thinly sliced
- ½ cup mung bean sprouts
- ½ cup pineapple diced
- fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (204 Celsius).
- Roll out the pizza crust on a clean, floured surface. You can make one large pizza or divide the dough into smaller portions for personal sized pizzas.
- Whisk together the peanut butter, vinegar, ginger, garlic, brown sugar, pepper flakes, and 1 tablespoon of water in a small bowl. Add additional water if needed, one tablespoon at a time, until sauce reaches a creamy consistency.
- Spray a nonstick pan with cooking spray and heat over medium high heat. Sauté the bell peppers and onions for 5-7 minutes, until softened. Set aside.
- Spread sauce onto the pizza crust(s). Top with the peppers and onions. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until crust is golden brown. (Check often, as bake time can vary depending on your crust recipe.)
- Remove pizza from oven and top with the mung bean sprouts and fresh cilantro. Serve!
