Thanksgiving Margarita
Thanksgiving Margarita combines tequila, triple sec, apple cider, and club soda to create a festive seasonal cocktail. The rimmed glasses with honey and salt add sweetness and contrast, while garnishes like cinnamon sticks, sage, cranberries, and apple slices contribute a fall vibe. This drink balances fruity and spiced notes and is designed for sharing, either by individual servings or pitcher preparation.
Ingredients
For the cocktail
- 4 tsp honey
- ¼ cup salt
- 8 oz tequila
- 4 oz triple sec
- 8 oz apple cider
- 8 oz club soda
- ice
For garnish
- cinnamon stick
- sage or thyme, fresh
- cranberries
- apple slices
Instructions
- First, let's line the rims of our glasses with honey and salt. Pour honey and salt on two separate flat plates. Dip the rim of the glass in the honey. Then, immediately after, dip it in the salt. You can also use sugar or cinnamon sugar if you'd like! Then, fill the rimmed glasses with ice and set to the side.
- Add ice, tequila, triple sec, and apple cider into a cocktail shaker (or a pitcher). Shake/Stir it up and pour the mixture evenly into 4 glasses!
- Then, top each glass with club soda. If you're making it in a pitcher, feel free to add it to the pitcher too!
- Garnish each Thanksgiving Margarita how you please. It's up to you how seasonal you want to get! I used apple slices, star of anise, and cinnamon sticks.
Notes
- Add club soda only after shaking the other ingredients to prevent overflow from carbonation.
- Prepare the cocktail in a pitcher with garnishes for easy serving to multiple guests and an attractive presentation.
