The Best Homemade Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 6 cups water divided
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 3 tsp lemon zest about 3 lemons
  • ice

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Heat the sugar and 2 cups of water in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Let cool completely. 
  3. Add the lemon juice and lemon zest to the cooled sugar water. 
  4. Combine the sugar lemon mixture with the remaining 4 cups of water. 
  5. Serve over ice.
