The Best Mimosa Recipe
The Best Mimosa Recipe combines cold prosecco or quality champagne with fresh, pulp-free orange juice for a light, bubbly drink often enjoyed at brunch or celebrations. Simple garnishes like lime or orange wedges add visual appeal and a hint of citrus aroma. No stirring preserves the bubbles, and chilled ingredients keep the drink refreshing.
Ingredients
- 2 parts prosecco or a good quality champagne
- 1 part orange juice no pulp, freshly squeezed
- lime wedges, for garnish, optional
- orange wedges, for garnish, optional
Instructions
- Be sure the juice and wine are very cold. Gently combine desired amount of juice and wine into a pitcher or individual flutes/glasses - note that the cleaner your pitcher and glasses are, the better they'll retain bubbles. If using pitcher, give a gentle stir before serving. Otherwise, do not stir.
- Add a splash of lime to each flute/glass; garnish as desired and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use absolutely pulp-free, freshly squeezed orange juice for the best texture and flavor.
- Keep both juice and prosecco very cold before mixing to preserve bubbles and taste.
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute prosecco with club soda or lemon-lime soda.
- Serve immediately to maintain the sparkling effervescence.
