Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef 93/7
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 1/4 cups ketchup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 8 hamburger buns

  1. Heat large, nonstick skillet over medium heat. Break meat apart as it browns.
  2. Once the meat is completely browned, stir in garlic and cook until fragrant, 1-2 minutes. Add in the ketchup, water, Worcestershire, ground mustard, brown sugar, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir together and simmer 5-10 minutes or until water has mostly evaporated and sauce is thick.
  3. Spoon meat mixture onto toasted hamburger buns and serve.
