Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar divided
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line two sheet pans with a silicone liner or parchment paper.
  2. Add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt to a medium bowl, and mix until blended.
  3. Cream together 2 cups sugar and the butter. Mix in the eggs.
  4. Slowly add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. In a shallow bowl, mix 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll dough into 1″ balls and roll in cinnamon sugar to coat.
  7. Place several inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake 8-10 minutes or until cookies firm up.
