TikTok Feta Pasta

This viral Tiktok Feta Pasta is a delicious and easy recipe to make. Cherry tomatoes, pasta, and cheese are combined to make a creamy recipe that is full of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 pints cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 8 oz feta cheese 1 block
  • 4 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1 Handful fresh basil leaves
  • 10 oz pasta cavatappi, rigatoni, rotini, penne or bow tie
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Add the cherry tomatoes to a baking dish.  Toss the tomatoes with the olive oil.  Then season the tomatoes with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the feta cheese in the center of the tomatoes and turn to coat the cheese in the oil.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes. Then increase the oven temperature to 450 degrees F.  Bake for 5-10 more minutes until the feta has browned and the tomatoes blistered. 
  5. Cook the pasta based on the package instructions to al dente while the feta and tomatoes are baking.  Reserve 1 cup of the pasta water and drain the pasta. 
  6. When the feta and tomatoes are done baking, remove from the oven and stir in the garlic and red pepper flakes. 
  7. Continue to stir until the feta and tomatoes are combined to form a creamy sauce. 
  8. Stir in the pasta and add in the pasta water if the sauce is too thick.  Stir in the fresh basil leaves.  
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
