Tomato and Chili Chutney Recipe: Easy And Quick
This tomato and chilli chutney is a very refreshing dip for your savoury snacks. With a tangy and spicy flavour that mingles with the herby fragrant, this chutney is one easy sauce you want to put among your food spread.
Ingredients
- 7.55 ounces canned tomatoes
- ¼ onion medium sized or half small
- 2 green chili
- ⅓ cucumber about 10-15 cm/ 3.94 in.,
- 1 lemon
- ¼ teaspoon salt or according to taste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Coriander leaves handful
Instructions
- Roughly chop the onion, cucumber, chillies and coriander.
- Place the tomatoes, onion, chillies, coriander, cucumber, coriander, salt and sugar in a blender.
- Squeeze the lemon juice into the mixture.
- Blitz the blender for about 10 seconds or until all the ingredients are blended but not smooth.
Notes
- You can swap the tomatoes with fresh ones. 2 medium-sized tomatoes will be enough for this recipe.
- When it comes to taste, you may want to add the flavour i.e. salt and sugar according to your taste. Feel free to adjust.
