Traditional Caprese Salad
Traditional Caprese Salad is usually not a chopped up salad but rather tomato slices and slices of fresh mozzarella that are topped with olive oil and fresh basil. I also add balsamic vinegar for a kick!
Ingredients
- 1 tomato sliced into 4 slices, large
- 4 ounces fresh mozzarella sliced into 4slices
- 5-6 basil sliced, leaves
- 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
- salt
- black pepper
Instructions
- Place sliced tomatoes mozzarella on a large plate or platter.
- Top with chiffonade basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper.
