Triple Berry Crisp

This triple berry crisp takes three kinds of berries (blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries) and tops them with a dark brown sugar and old-fashioned oats topping, for a perfect berry dessert!

Ingredients

For fruit:
  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 2 cups raspberries
  • 2 cups blackberries
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste
For topping:
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ⅔ cup all-purpose flour
  • ⅔ cup old fashioned oats
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

For fruit filling:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a bowl mix together berries, brown sugar, cornstarch, lemon zest, and vanilla bean paste.
  3. Add to a 9x9 pan and set aside while you prepare the topping.
For topping:
  1. In a mixing bowl add brown sugar, all-purpose flour, old-fashioned oats, melted butter, and kosher salt.
  2. Mix together until crumbly and the mixture is well combined and the texture is crumbly.
For baking:
  1. Top the fruit with all the oat topping. Spreading it over in an even layer.
  2. Add to the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling around the edges.
