Tropical Breakfast Shake

This shake has all kinds of tropical flavors – fresh pineapple, orange juice, a ripe banana, and some coconut flakes to top it all off. It tastes like summer in a glass!

Ingredients

  • 1 large banana peeled
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 container raspberry yogurt 6 ounce light raspberry yogurt, can sub another kind of yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp. Truvia or sub another sweetener
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks frozen
  • Optional: unsweetened coconut flakes

  1. Before you plan on making your smoothie, peel a large and very ripe banana. Cut the banana into coins and place the coins on a tray in the freezer. After about an hour, transfer the banana coins into a resealable bag until ready to use.
  2. In a blender or large food processor, combine the banana, orange juice, yogurt, truvia, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pulse for about 10-15 seconds.
  4. Add in the frozen pineapple. Blend until completely smooth and no chunks remain.
  5. If desired garnish with unsweetened coconut flakes
