Ingredients

  • 2 6-oz cans tuna, drained
  • ½ large avocado
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice to taste
  • 1 Tbsp Stone ground mustard
  • ¼ cup red onion finely chopped
  • ⅓ cup celery finely chopped
  • ⅓ cup dill pickles finely chopped
  • 3 Tbsp fresh dill finely chopped
  • ¼ tsp sea salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 8 leaves butter lettuce or “living lettuce for serving

Instructions

  1. Add the avocado and lemon juice to a mixing bowl and mash it together until creamy.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients for the tuna salad to the mixing bowl and stir well until combined.
  3. Taste the salad for flavor and add sea salt, lemon juice, and/or mustard to taste.
  4. Scoop the tuna salad into the center of butter leaf lettuce (for me, this recipe makes 8 small lettuce wraps), and enjoy!
