Turkey Sausage

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 pinches red pepper flakes
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 pound ground turkey 93% lean
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine sage, fennel seeds, thyme, red pepper flakes, nutmeg, cloves, garlic, salt and pepper.
  2. Place the ground turkey in a large bowl and sprinkle the mixed spices over it. Mix gently with your hands until well combined.
  3. Divide the turkey mixture into 8 equal portions and form each into a patty.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat with the olive oil.
  5. Cook the patties for about 3-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and slightly browned.
