Turmeric Smoothie with Kefir (Golden Milk)

Ingredients
- 1 cup milk kefir or coconut milk kefir
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey, to taste
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- black pepper pinch
- 4 ice optional, cubes
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth. Taste, and add more sweetener if desired.
- Pour smoothie into glass cups, and drink immediately.
- Leftovers / Make Ahead: Smoothies can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days.
Notes
- Rinse the blender immediately after use to prevent turmeric stains.
- Avoid serving in plastic cups because the turmeric can stain them.
- Consume the smoothie fresh or store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
