Unique Tuna Salad Recipe

Ingredients

  • 15 ounces canned tuna in water drained (3 cans)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup diced apple pick a firm sweet variety
  • 1/3 cup sweet pickle relish
  • ¼ cup diced celery
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped dill or 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Set out a large mixing bowl. Open and drain the cans of tuna. Once pressed and well-drained, place the tuna chunks in the bowl.
  2. Add the mayonnaise, diced apple, pickle relish, celery, and dill. Mix well. Then taste, and add salt and pepper as needed.
  3. Cover and chill until ready to use.

Notes

  • Possible add-ins: pickled jalapenos, firm grapes, lemon zest, rosemary.
  • Keep homemade tuna salad covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
