Vanilla Syrup Recipe

Homemade vanilla syrup recipe with a real vanilla bean makes a delicious vanilla flavored sweetener for all your beverages and recipes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water filtered
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1-2 Vanilla Beans

  1. With a sharp knife split vanilla bean(s) down the length of the bean. Scr
  2. Add the sweeteners to a small saucepan.
  3. Scrape the vanilla pulp from the beans and place on the sweetener. Place vanilla beans in the saucepan.
  4. Pour water over sugar and stir to combine. Heat on medium and stir ingredients until the sweetener dissolves, 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the vanilla bean steep in the syrup while cooling.
  6. Remove vanilla bean and strain syrup with a sieve or cheese cloth over a clean jar.
  7. Place vanilla bean back in the jar to keep flavoring the syrup.

Notes

  • If you don't mind the flecks of the vanilla bean, then it's not necessary to strain the syrup.
  • Replace sugars with 1/2 cup monk fruit and 1/2 cup allulose.
  • Vanilla extract and vanilla paste can be used 1:1 ratio for a vanilla bean.
