Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes canned
  • 28 oz cannellini beans canned
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar heaped
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce gluten-free variety if needed
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 prig rosemary leaves removed and chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place a saucepan over a medium heat and add the olive oil and onion. Add a pinch of salt and cook the onion until soft. Add the garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 45 minutes to an hour. Adjust the seasonings as necessary.
