Vietnamese Roast Beef

This Vietnamese roast beef is loaded with spicy Asian flavors everyone loves. Vietnamese pot roast is the perfect dish for ease and flavor.

Ingredients
- 4 pounds beef pot roast, top or bottom blade or cross rib, boneless
- ⅔ cup soy sauce
- ⅔ cup Teriyaki sauce or Kecap Manis (Asian Ketchup)
- 1 cup beef broth chicken or vegetable broth
- ¼ cup rice vinegar -
- 2 tblsp garlic, minced
- 2 tblsp ginger, minced
- 1 tblsp dried crushed red pepper flakes - optional
- salt -
- pepper -
- ⅓ cup all-purpose flour -
- ¼ cup water -
- cooking spray
Instructions
- Turn your slow cooker on to high and coat inside with cooking spray.
- Add soy sauce, Kecap Manis (Asian Ketchup) or Teriyaki Sauce, broth, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, crushed red pepper flakes and stir.
- Rinse and dry your roast. Season beef generously, all over, with salt and pepper.
- Place in your slow cooker, cover and reduce the temperature to low. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours until roast is tender.
- Turn slow cooker up to high. In a cup combine flour and water.
- Remove roast to serving plate.
- Either add flour mixture to slow cooker to thicken juices, usually around 15 minutes or pour juices into a saucepan over medium high heat on your stove. Add flour and stir until thickened.
- Slice or chunk your roast and serve with sauce/gravy. Delicious!
Notes
- Wash and rinse your roast to ensure the seasonings stick to your roast.
- Always spray your slow cooker with nonstick spray to prevent sticking
