- 1.5 red wine 6 1/3 cups
- 3 cinnamon stick
- 250 gms granulated sugar 1 ΒΌ cups
- 10 cloves
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- orange zest from 2 oranges
- lemon zest of 1
- 1 apple thinly sliced (with the skin on)

- Vin Brule has to be served hot.
