Vodka Cocktail: Chopin Spring Equinox
The Chopin Spring Equinox is a vodka-based cocktail combining Chopin vodka, elderflower liqueur, and bittersweet aperitifs with fresh lime juice and a splash of ginger beer. It is shaken with ice and served over decorative flower ice cubes for a visually striking and crisp, citrusy drink.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces vodka Chopin brand
- 3/4 ounce Saint Germain liqueur
- 1/4 ounce Salers aperitif
- 1/4 ounce Aperol
- 1/2 ounce lime juice
- plash ginger beer
Instructions
- Add all ingredients, with plain ice cubes, in a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain over flower ice cubes. Top with a splash of ginger beer.
To make flower ice cubes
- In an ice mold, lay edible pansies and green buttons (see note). Gently pour water* over the flowers and freeze. Use plastic molds so the ice will be easier to remove.
Notes
- Use distilled water that has been boiled and cooled to room temperature for clear ice cubes.
- Fill ice trays incrementally to secure flowers and achieve clearer ice.
- Only use edible flowers free from pesticides; avoid if you or guests have allergies, asthma, or hay fever.
