Water based Chocolate Mousse with Grand Marnier

How to make a chocolate mousse without cream and eggs! All you need is chocolate and water!

Ingredients

  • 265 gms dark chocolate 70% cocoa solids, chopped, 9.35 oz
  • 120 ml water
  • 120 ml Grand Marnier ½ cup
  • sugar optional - I did not use any, but I may use a bit next time, up to 4 tablespoons

Notes

  • The proportion of liquor to water is up to you. The important thing is that the total amount of liquid stays the same (240 ml – 1 cup). You can also use only water (and no liquor) for a child-friendly dessert and/or flavour it with vanilla, cinnamon or whatever you fancy!
