Ingredients

  • 8-10 ounces Ghirardelli white chocolate baking bar (chopped) or Ghirardelli white chocolate chips
  • 6 ounces light blue candy melts
  • 1-2 drops peppermint extract or food-safe peppermint oil (OPTIONAL)
  • ⅓-½ cup blue M&M candies for topping
  • 3-4 TBSP assorted sprinkles for topping
  • 2-3 TBSP white chocolate chips for topping
MORE TASTY TOPPING OPTIONS
  • chopped golden oreo cookies
  • mini marshmallows
  • hanukkah gelt (chocolate coins)
  • Crushed candy canes (for more mint flavor)

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place white chocolate (chopped bar or chips) in a medium heat-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave for 90 SECONDS on 50% POWER. Remove and stir then return to microwave for 30 seconds at 50% POWER. Repeat as needed until chocolate is glossy and just melted.
  3. NOTE: It is important to use the 50% power setting as to not burn the chocolate. If unsure how to use this setting, microwave on regular power for 30 second intervals, removing the bowl and stirring between each interval.
  4. If adding optional peppermint oil or extract for a peppermint bark flavor, start by adding the tiniest little drop into the melted white chocolate. Mix well, taste test, and then increase that amount slowly, to taste. I usually like 2 small drops in mine.
  5. Next heat your blue candy melts/wafers in the microwave in a heat-safe bowl. Follow package instructions. Mine required me to melt for 1 MINUTE at 50% power then heat in 30 SECOND intervals until fully melted.
  6. Line a 11 x 17" or  9 x 13″ baking sheet with parchment paper (preferred) or foil.
  7. Pour white chocolate onto the parchment paper and use a silicone spatula/scraper to smooth into a rectangle.
  8. Drizzle melted blue candy wafers on top and use a toothpick to create swirls.
  9. Top with sprinkles, M&M candies, white chocolate chips, and any extras your heart desires!
  10. Pop it in the fridge for about 20 minutes or until the chocolate is completely set. Remove from the fridge and let the bark sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes. Cut or break into pieces and serve. Happy Hanukkah! xoxo
