Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup coconut palm sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/4 cups large flake oats
  • 2 tablespoon hemp hearts
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Cream together the butter and the coconut palm sugar.
  2. Once they are combined thoroughly, add in the egg, followed by the vanilla. Mix in completely.
  3. Whisk together the flour and baking soda, then add to the butter mixture until combined.
  4. Add the oat flakes and hemp hearts, stir them in completely. Then add in the chocolate chips. Mix until combined.
  5. Take sized pieces of dough and roll into balls. Press them flat with the bottom of a glass, making sure to wet the bottom of the glass with water if the cookies stick.
  6. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes. This will ensure soft, chewy cookies if you slightly underbake them.
  7. Remove from the oven and cool on the sheets for 5 minutes, then remove to a rack.
