Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 2 large egg
  • 1/4 cup canola oil or vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add the buttermilk, eggs, and oil. Stir until combined.
  2. Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Spray with cooking spray and drop about 1/4 cup of the batter onto the warm skillet. Once it forms bubbles then flip to the other side and cook until golden brown.
