Ingredients

  • 2 Bottles of Red Wine recommend Apothic Dark
  • 1 blood orange sliced
  • 1 lime sliced
  • 24 ounces sparking mineral water chilled
  • bourbon optional
  • Dry Ice optional (see note)

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Combine the wine, fruit, and sparking water in a large container.
  2. Serve bourbon on the side in test tubes.
  3. Place a chunk of dry ice in cauldron or punch bowl for a spooky effect.

Notes

  • Note: Dry ice is quite safe to use in drinks, but you should not touch it. Wait for the ice to melt before actually drinking it as it can burn your skin.
  • Best wine for sangria? I suggest reaching for a red that is fruity and jammy but still dry, with low levels of tannins. I love Apothic Red blend because it's affordable (just $10 a bottle), but you can also swap in a fruity Tempranillo, Garnacha, or Primativo.
