Wonton Soup
This Wonton Soup combines tender minced garlic, ginger, and optional shiitake mushrooms sautéed in sesame oil with a delicate broth. Baby bok choy and wontons added in the broth create a comforting, savory soup with tender greens and soft, chewy dumplings. A finishing touch of soy sauce and sliced green onions adds saltiness and freshness for a well-rounded flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 cup shiitake mushrooms chopped (optional)
- 1 tablespoon ginger minced
- 8 cups chicken broth or any broth
- 1/2 pound baby bok choy halved
- 25-30 wontons frozen
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 green onion sliced
Instructions
- In a large pot over medium high heat add the sesame oil, garlic, mushrooms and ginger. Saute for about 2-3 minutes or until tender.
