5-min. Easy Korean Banana Milk

This 5-minute Korean Banana Milk blends ripe banana, sugar, vanilla, and oat milk into a creamy smooth drink. The flavor is fresh and sweet with a light vanilla note and natural banana taste. The drink results in a cold, smooth texture without bits, suitable as a refreshing beverage. It’s easy to make with simple ingredients and a blender, ideal for a quick homemade banana-flavored milk alternative.

Description

5-min. Easy Korean Banana Milk mixes ripe banana, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and oat milk (or other preferred milk) in a blender until very smooth. The process produces a drink that captures the natural banana sweetness and flavor enhanced with vanilla, while the oat milk provides a smooth, dairy-free base with a gentle sweetness and creaminess. Straining through a sieve is optional and yields an extra smooth texture by removing pulp.

The drink is served cold, making it a light, refreshing milk-based beverage useful for a quick snack or to accompany meals. It provides a homemade alternative to store-bought banana milk, with control over sweetness and ingredients.

Note that if dairy milk is used, it should be very cold to help prevent curdling while the banana’s enzymes interact with the milk. The drink is best consumed soon after preparation for freshness.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 large banana ripened and peeled
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar or any sweetener of choice and adjust as needed, white
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups oat milk or almond/macadamia (or dairy milk if you're not dairy-free but see notes below)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, add a peeled banana, sugar, vanilla extract and milk.
  2. Blend everything on high speed into a very smooth liquid without any banana bits. If you want it super smooth, run the banana milk through a fine sieve before pouring into a tall drinking glass.
  3. Pour the banana milk into a tall drinking glass and enjoy cold!

Notes

  • Use very cold dairy milk if not using a plant-based alternative to reduce curdling risk.
  • Consume the banana milk quickly if using dairy to avoid curdling caused by banana enzymes.
