Share:
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerator biscuits such as Pillsbury Grands *see notes
- 3/4 cup Pizza Sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup pepperoni slices or mini pepperoni or mini pepperoni
- 1/4 cup green pepper diced
- fresh basil to garnish, optional
Instructions
- Open the package of biscuits. Take a biscuit and divide it in half by separating the layers.
- Flatten each half to make dough circles about 4 inches wide.
- Use parchment paper inside the air fryer or spray the basket with nonstick spray. Don't use commercial spray oil since it can damage the basket.
- Put the crusts in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overlap them.
- Spread 1 tablespoon pizza sauce on each shell. Then add a few pepperoni, bell pepper, or your chosen toppings. Be careful not to add too many toppings.
- Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of cheese on top of each pizza.
- Air fry at 400 degrees F for 4 minutes. They are done when the crust is golden brown, and the cheese is melted and just starting to brown.
- Take the basket out and let them sit for 1 minute. Then remove the pizzas, garnish with fresh basil and enjoy.
- When making more batches use oven mitts to avoid touching the hot basket. Additionally, reduce the cooking time to 3 minutes, check the pizza, and decide if it needs another minute.
Notes
- Measurements assume using a can of 5 Biscuits. Serving size assumes 2 mini pizzas per person.
- Use your favorite toppings. Make sure any meats like ground sausage or ground beef are cooked before using.
- Only use half of a biscuit for each crust. A whole biscuit will be too thick.
- It is easier to add the toppings with the crusts inside the basket.
- Don't use too many toppings! These are mini pizzas, so add just a few toppings to each.
