Instructions

  1. Heat the air fryer to 400°F/200°C.
  2. Add the frozen pierogies to a bowl and toss with the olive oil. Spray or brush the air fryer basket with oil.
  3. TIP: I use my hands to rub the oil all over the pierogies to ensure they’re lightly coated.
  4. Place the pierogies into the basket of the air fryer in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary).
  5. Cook for 10 minutes, shaking the basket (or flipping them with tongs) halfway through.
  6. Check and cook a little longer if you want your pierogies crispier or less time to make them a bit softer.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • To oil the pierogies evenly, brush each with oil or use your hands to make sure each piece is fully coated.
  • Make sure the pierogies are in a single layer in your air fryer basket. If they overlap, they may steam too much and get soggy. You may have to cook them in batches for the best results.
  • Just like ovens, air fryers all have different variances in time vs temperature. It’s best to check your pierogies after 8 minutes to see if they need more or less cooking time and adjust until they are cooked to your desired texture.
  • Storing: Store air-fried pierogies in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave or add back to the air fryer and cook at 325F until warm and crispy.
  • Freezing: Because the pierogies were previously frozen, re-freezing is not recommended.
