Air Fryer Zucchini Fries
Description
This recipe uses zucchini sliced into sticks, first coated in flour to help the subsequent egg wash and panko crumb mixture adhere well. The crumb coating combines panko breadcrumbs with grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt for a flavorful crust.
The coated zucchini sticks are air-fried at 350°F for 7 to 12 minutes until they achieve a crispy, golden finish. Spraying olive oil on both the basket and fries promotes even browning and crispness.
These fries are served warm, ideal with common accompaniments such as marinara sauce or ranch dressing. The air fryer method reduces oil use compared to traditional frying while still delivering a crunchy texture.
