Apple Bars

Apple Bars combine a tender, spiced batter with chopped Honey Crisp apples, baked into a golden bar with a cinnamon-sugar topping. They balance soft, moist crumbs with sweet and warmly spiced apple pieces, making them ideal for dessert or snack time. Finished bars are accented with whipped cream and salted caramel sauce, adding creamy and rich layers to the fruity base.

Description

Apple Bars feature a batter made from all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and apple pie spice, blended with melted butter and brown sugar for a moist texture. Chopped peeled apples are folded into the batter, infusing the bars with fresh fruity bursts. The top is sprinkled with a mixture of sugar and apple pie spice before baking, creating a lightly crisp, aromatic crust. Baking at 350°F yields bars that spring back to the touch, indicating tenderness inside.

These bars are served cooled, cut into squares, and traditionally topped with whipped cream and salted caramel sauce. This finishing touch complements the sweet apple and spice flavors while adding richness. They work well for afternoon snacks, brunch additions, or casual dessert plates.
