Babycakes Donut Recipe
Description
This recipe blends dry ingredients—flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt—with wet ingredients including milk, vegetable oil, sour cream, egg, and vanilla to form a smooth donut batter. The combination of sour cream and baking powder contributes to a tender, moist texture.
The batter is spooned into molds and baked briefly for 2 to 3 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean, resulting in light, cake-like donuts. Once cooled slightly, they can be glazed or dusted with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar for additional flavor and sweetness.
The quick baking time makes these donuts a convenient homemade treat that avoids frying, with a soft crumb that is different from fried donuts but appealing in its own right.
