Ingredients

Servings
  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 ¾ cups lager beer I used Yuengling, light
  • 4-5 lices Bacon roughly chopped, cooked
  • 1 tbsp bacon grease reserved, drippings

Instructions

  1. Cook your bacon according to your preferred method. I love to bake my bacon. See how to How Bake Perfectly Crisp Bacon here. Be sure to reserve the grease and drippings from the bacon!
  2. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Pour in the beer and bacon grease. Mix until just combined. Fold in the chopped bacon.
  4. Using a large spoon or scoop, drop the biscuit dough on the prepared baking sheet leaving at least 1 1/2 inches between them. Bake for around 15 minutes. Let cool to warm before serving and enjoying.
