Banana Bread Protein Smoothie Recipe

Report
The Banana Bread Protein Smoothie blends frozen banana, rolled oats, vanilla protein powder, milk, peanut butter, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and ice for a creamy, thick beverage with the flavor of banana bread. Optional toppings like cookie dough chunks or chocolate chips add texture and extra flavor. This smoothie serves as a filling breakfast or snack.

Description

This smoothie combines key banana bread flavors—banana, cinnamon, and vanilla—with the heartiness of rolled oats and protein powder to create a nutrient-rich, creamy beverage. Using frozen banana and ice cubes ensures a cold, thick consistency, while peanut butter contributes richness and protein. Blending all ingredients until smooth produces a balanced sweetness and texture reminiscent of banana bread.

Optional toppings like cookie dough pieces, sliced banana, or nuts can be added to vary texture and enhance enjoyment. The recipe can be divided between two glasses, making it suitable for sharing or multiple servings.

For smoother blending, PB2 powder can be prepared according to package instructions before mixing. Layering the powders away from direct blade contact helps prevent a burnt taste. Using regular peanut butter instead of PB2 powder increases richness for those desiring a more decadent smoothie.
